Dr Heather Gilbertson is the Manager of Nutrition and Food Services at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne. She is an advanced accredited practising paediatric dietitian and diabetes educator. She has extensive experience in the dietary management of children and adolescents with diabetes, having worked at the Royal Children’s Hospital for 25 years. She completed her PhD studies in 2001 on low GI diets for children, has 14 publications and is co-author of two GI Factor Pocket books.
