Cecilia has been a Registered Nurse for 38 years, initially working in Chile before permanently moving to Australia. She commenced her career in Diabetes in 2000 at the Liverpool Diabetes Centre, becoming a Credentialed Diabetes Educator in 2007 and the Clinical Nurse Consultant in Diabetes in 2012. During this time Cecilia completed her Postgraduate Certificate in Diabetes Education and Management in 2001 at UTS, and a Postgraduate Bachelor of Nursing With Professional Honours in Teaching and Learning at the University of Tasmania in 2014. Cecilia has over 18 years of experience in Diabetes Education and Management that includes not only patient education but also teaching and mentorship of health professionals. Cecilia is a member of ADIPS since 2003 and ADEA since 2001.
