Dr Anna Calkin is a NHF Future Leader Fellow and head of the Lipid Metabolism & Cardiometabolic Disease Laboratory at Baker Heart & Diabetes Institute. Her interests include prevention of the pathological effects of excess lipids, particularly in the heart, liver and skeletal muscle, as well as the identification of novel regulators of lipid metabolism using systems biology approaches.
