Leon Flicker

Professor Leon Flicker is the Director of the Western Australian Centre for Health and Ageing. He is a member of numerous national committees and organizations and has published extensively in the field of geriatric medicine. Earlier in his career Professor Flicker worked in Alice Springs, Northern Territory. Professor Flicker has been working closely with remote Indigenous Australian communities in the Kimberley and Pilbara region for over a decade. He headed the Rural and Remote Dementia node, part of the Dementia Collaborative Research Centres. He remains a practicing geriatrician at Royal Perth Hospital In 2009 he was made a distinguished member of the Australian Association of Gerontology for his contribution to geriatric medicine.
