Your Talk and Poster
THE SPEAKER PREPARATION ROOM
Presentations are to be loaded direct to the computer in the speaker preparation room (City Suite 1 found on the upper level) at least a full session in advance of your session. You should bring your talk on a USB, saved in a format for display on a PC within the room. A technician will be on hand to assist with any transfer / loading issues and to help you check your presentation. PCs will be available in the speaker preparation room and presentation rooms.

ADS Posters
Posters can remain on display from Wednesday morning tea and must be removed by the end of morning tea on Friday. The maximum size of a poster is 1 metre wide by 1.2 metres high. Velcro to attach the poster to the display panel can be obtained from the registration desk. The correct position for posters can be found by the appropriate abstract number on the display panels. The program provides your abstract number which is how you find you placement position. The posters are arranged in basic and clinical categories. If you are a junior ADS Member and have indicated that you wish to be considered for a poster award you must be at your poster during the poster viewing session to be eligible.
ADS Poster Discussions
Delegates involved in the poster discussion are required to stand by their poster on Wednesday 28th August from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM (Basic Science) and Thursday 27th August from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM (Clinical Science) and discuss their poster to fellow delegates. There will be three groups presenting in the first half hour and three in the second half hour. Delegates wishing to listen to the discussions will be provided with headsets which will be available in the poster area. The discussion will be facilitated by a chairperson and posters will be grouped with approximately 5 other poster presenters. Presentations will be in 5 minute slots – 3 minutes to summarise research and 2 minutes to answer any questions.
